Arts In Reach is proud to have a gallery show Altered Futures as part of the New Hampshire Art Association’s Fledgling: Artists Under 30 Exhibition! All of the incredible creations are made by AIR artists and a couple of AIR staff! Most of the pieces were upcycled during our spring wearable art programs, where teens learn to sew, block print, screenprint, embroider, and more. Sustainability is at the heart of these programs—we collected clothing from the community for these projects, giving new life to old garments! The pieces encompass a variety of wearable art forms, from painted clothing to crocheted tops. There’s even a dress made of paper!

The reception for the show NHAA’s opening reception for the Fledgling: Artists Under 30 Exhibition is on Friday, March 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. Please note that this event is one of NHAA’s most popular openings and coincides with other First Friday gallery openings across Portsmouth. The show is on view from February 29 to March 31 at the New Hampshire Art Association’s gallery in Portsmouth. Gallery hours are as follows:
Monday: Closed
Tuesday – Thursday: 11 AM – 5 PM
Friday – Saturday: 11 AM – 6 PM
Sunday: 12 PM – 5 PM
