Sleepyhead Field Trip
To start the fall season with a bang (or should I say snooze?) we hopped in a van to go see AIR teaching Artist Gemma Soldati’s original play The Adventures of Sleepyhead in Concord! It was such a blast to see Gemma in her element. We’re excited for her to teach Class Clown Class this April Vacation!

Wet Felting Studio with Oliveteal Arts®
On a crisp day in October we gathered at Community Campus in Portsmouth to do some wet felting! Taught by Karen Rosanio of Oliveteal Arts®, she led us step by step through the process of sculpting pots out of colorful, hand-dyed wool. We’re so grateful to have had the opportunity to learn such an interesting craft!

Write Here! Write Now!
For six weeks, ArtVenturers explored creative writing with new friends and teaching artist caitlin little! Among the unique oddities at Crackskull’s Coffee & Books in Newmarket, we explored different literary genres including poetry, fiction, and memoir. The program culminated in an open mic for family and friends.

Stand Up Comedy
Though the ArtVentures program ended, the writing at Crackskull’s continued with AIR Artists for three weeks of Stand Up Comedy! Led by teaching artist Betsy Cameron, these comedians took to pen and stage to LOL with their peers.
A big thank you to Crackskull’s Coffee & Books for donating use of their space! The books and smell of coffee brought much inspiration to our writers and comedians. We are so grateful!

Mixed Media Moods
This fall we experimented in a variety of 2D and 3D mediums alongside professional artist Evelyn Mauchly! We drew and painted scenery, natural-dyed fabric and paper-mached a frog collective. All of the work was displayed in the window of New Hampshire Art Assosciation in Portsmouth for the month of January.

Bead Bling!
On a November morning at Dover Public Library we used beads and other odds and ends to create one-of-a-kind accessories! Led by teaching artist Raven, we dug through beads, wires, and other findings while chatting about school, art projects, and much more. Thank you to DPL for donating space for nonprofits!
