DESCRIPTION:Join AIR\, Seacoast Outright\, and Portland\, ME’s Poet Laureate Maya Williams for pizza and a poetry workshop celebrating the release of their second poetry collection\, Refused A Second Date.\nFriday\, October 20 from 4-6pm in Portsmouth\, NH\nOpen to AIR and Seacoast Outright teens and past participants ages 16-22.\nContent Advisory: Mature topics will be discussed during this workshop related to intimate relationships and consent. Due to the nature of this content\, this workshop is intended for individuals ages 16-22. Participants under 16 may be able to participate pending consultation with a guardian/parent and AIR program staffperson.  \n—\nAbout Maya Williams:\nMaya Williams (ey/they/she) is a religious Black multiracial nonbinary writer who is currently the seventh poet laureate of Portland\, Maine. Maya was one of three artists of color selected to represent Maine in The Kennedy Center’s Arts Across America series in 2020. They were also selected as one of The Advocate‘s Champions of Pride in 2022.
